Freeware Games Description: Babala is a simple logical game with elements of move strategy. At the start of the contest, the enemy figures "Balabaks" are situated on the playing field. To battle them, you have but limited moves and shots (or laying of mines) that you can make during your each round; then the enemy is allowed a measured advance. If any Balabak reaches you, you're mugged, you lose. The enemy can't shoot.
Your task is to survive and dispose of all Balabaks. To do this you must choose suitable movements or shots, and that won't be so easy. There may be obstacles and certain rigged perils, critically situated, or distant ammunition stores that have to be reached. You may have to shoot through a wall at Balabaks, and you have a limited numbers of shots. If you don't have enough munitions, then you must tempt the enemy into a trap.
Freeware Games Comment: This great very playable logic game has over 200 mind-boggling levels. Freeware game but code is not open source. Note: This game requires GTK+ (2.0 or later) to be installed on your computer before installing Babala. GTK+ is a totally free runtime environment that is often packaged with freeware (such as GIMP, X-Chat and Gnapster). You may already have the package on your machine: look to see if it appears in the list under Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs. If it is not on that list, then you can obtain GTK+ (3.5MB) from within this page: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html.
